The game
One country's shape appears on the map and you name it. That is the whole idea, stretched across four modes. The MapFiend Daily gives every player the same set of countries each day, with one attempt and no retries. World Tour is a relaxed endless lap with three lives and the region in view. Conquest strips every hint away and makes you type each answer against a clock. Quick Play is eight countries at a difficulty you choose.
MapFiend covers 187 countries. It runs entirely in your browser on phone, tablet or desktop, so there is no app to install and nothing to update, and it is built for adults who want a real geography challenge rather than a classroom drill.

More than a quiz
Under the quiz sits a full progression system: XP levels, unlockable avatars, claimable Marks, and a doubloon economy. Daily streaks earn Marks named after ships, from Cutter at 5 days to Flagship at 365. Conquest runs award mantles that climb through history's conquerors. Your Outpost keeps your stats, your avatars and your place on the boards. The deeper you play, the more of it opens up.
Every run counts toward your next level.
Explorers, conquerors and other odd characters, unlocked as you play.
Complete achievements for doubloon rewards and new Avatars.
Earned by progressing and used to purchase cosmetics or power-ups.

The studio
MapFiend is made by A Little Bit Human, an independent one-person studio, and published by New Saga Media LLC. One developer designs, builds and tests everything. Find the studio at alittlebithuman.com, or in the MapFiend Discord, where update notes land first.
